Hallowheels Costume Contest and Fundraiser

Hallowheels is a Halloween costume contest which turns assisted mobility into opportunities. Enter the contest, raise much needed operating funds for CATS, have fun, be famous and win a prize!

This is a fundraiser for Children’s Assistive Technology Service (CATS).  Hallowheels 2021 will feature one of a kind costumes for children with challenges who depend on assisted mobility. This year, due to Covid-19, the costumes will be designed and created by families for their child, ages 2-26 with some virtual help from CATS and our wonderful volunteer partners.

The public is invited to vote ($) for their favorite costume on the CATS website on October 31 through November 6, 2021. Prizes will be awarded for costumes raising the most funds.

CATS mission is to:

  • Ensure that ALL children with disabilities can have access to adaptive devices which allow them to participate with others, achieve mobility, connect socially, improve health and cognitive skills.
  • Promote the economical and environmentally sound practice of assistive technology equipment re-use.
  • Advocate for policy reform so that assistive technology, as defined by the Department of Education’s Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, is accessible to all children, regardless of family income.
  • Work collaboratively with families, therapists, teachers, and physicians to make sure that equipment is appropriate and well fitted to the child.

Voting opens October 31
