Wheeled Mobility Costume Contest & Celebration

  1. Families and or friends build or dress their child in a costume, which features their child’s wheelchair, walker, gait trainer, or mobile stander . . . any wheeled mobility.  Whether your child’s costume is a simple idea or an elaborate, imaginative one, we want all families to participate in Hallowheels.
  2. Framing kits and a how-to-manual will be available after Labor Day at your closest C.A.T.S. locations. Families need to indicate on the participation form if they need a kit (check box).
  3. A Family Coordinator will contact each participating family throughout the process via phone call and or emails.
  4. Photos for publication must be submitted to  [email protected] by midnight on Thursday, October 26th 2024.
  5. *PHOTO REQUIREMENTS: Please sign the photo release and provide at least one horizontal photo for the C.A.T.S. website. You can provide as many photos as you like as well as a video, and photos may include additional individuals if desired. Any individual in the submitted photos will need to fill out a photo release.
  6. Online voting begins on October 28th and concludes at midnight on November 4th. *Voting takes place online on the C.A.T.S. website, each vote is $1, payment is made using credit card or paypal. You can vote as many times as you want for as many of your favorite costumes as you like. Please spread the word about Hallowheels via word of mouth, email, and social media to get as many of your family members, friends, coworkers, etc. to VOTE!
  7. Prizes will be awarded to the participants that raise the most money but every child is a winner and will receive a participation prize!

The objective of Hallowheels is that families will become ambassadors for Children’s Assistive Technology Services. The money raised supports our mission to give your children and others across VA  better access to the adaptive and mobility equipment they need in order to gain accessibility, inclusion and independence!  Assistive technology can make anything possible!
